The challenge
To help one of Nigeria’s most enduring corporate institutions tell its story in a way that felt unmistakably UACN, but also unmistakably new.
The completion of UACN’s acquisition of 100% of CHI Limited from The Coca-Cola Company for ₦182.4 billion marked one of the most significant strategic investments in the Group’s recent history, bringing Chivita|Hollandia into an already diversified portfolio spanning Gala, Supreme Ice Cream, Dulux, Mr Biggs and more.
Reporting the acquisition was the less daunting part. The real ask was to tell what it meant to a 147-year-old conglomerate with a lot of heart and vigour, communicating scale and diversity without letting individual businesses compete for attention.
Our approach
We challenged ourselves to take the design into territory UACN had never charted. A conglomerate of this breadth can easily become visually fragmented, so we created a visual system that let each business occupy its own space while still feeling part of one UACN harmony.
The editorial approach connected the CHI acquisition with the Group’s broader strategic direction, while ensuring its long history was not lost in the excitement. A complementary round of proofreading and editorial review let us interrogate the narrative, strengthen transitions and check material accuracy.

The result
A report that treated UACN’s diversity as one of its greatest storytelling assets, where it had previously been a communication bottleneck. Most importantly, we helped UACN begin to define a new reporting identity: a company drawing on its history, expanding its portfolio and positioning itself for what comes next.
